Note from Sue Barker

Now I’ve got my breathe back I would like to say a big thank you to S.O.M.R.C. for my winning entry into the prize drawer for the London marathon. I’ve never won a raffle before and shall certainly think twice before risking winning any more! Chocolates or meal vouchers definately have more obvious attractions. However, now it’s all over it seems a perfectly sensible prize, running cheek to jowl with rhino’s, washing machines, dalmations, for 26.2 miles through the streets of London, on a hot spring day alongside 40.000 other semi conscious people. Many thanks also to anyone who donated to JDRF to help sponsor research into finding a cure for type 1 diabetes. As my daughter is diabetic I try and raise money for this charity when I can. Sue.
